Each of these twenty courses is divided into a number of major sections or topics. Within the twenty courses in this series there will be about one hundred and ten separate topics which we cover.
What Christians Believe And The Case For Christianity
The first twenty courses on the Bible Answer Site explains what Christians believe. We have also written and recorded a single course which explains why Christianity should be believed. It is called “The Case For Christianity.” This course lays out the fact that the Christian faith is reasonable and sensible and that a person does not have to stop thinking or exercise blind faith to believe in Jesus Christ. To the contrary, the evidence shows that the Christian faith is true beyond any reasonable doubt. We suggest that each student, at some point, also go through this particular course. It will be a tremendous faith-builder.

The Nature Of Human Beings
According To The Bible
In our introductory section of this course, we will look at ourselves – the human race. Who are human beings? Where did we come from? Is there any meaning for our existence? Are we here as a result of blind chance, as the theory of evolution says, or have we been created by a loving God? If we have been created by God, then for what purpose were we made?
Also, is it possible to divide humans into different parts? Are we made up of body and soul, or body, soul and spirit, or something else?
Does the Bible tell us why God made us? If so, then how can we find out what our purpose is in this life? These all-important issues, also known as the doctrine of anthropology, will be dealt with in this section as we look at the important topic of the identity of human beings according to the Bible.

In the New Testament, there are a number of things taught about the nature of the church, and these truths should be studied.
To begin with, there are some primary matters about the church that need to be addressed. When did the church actually begin? When will the church age end? Which people make up the true church?
There are also issues about how the church is to function in the evil world. What is the main role of the church in the world? Is it to reform society, or to preach the gospel? Course 18: The Bible And The Future:
What Is Going To Happen Next? (Course In Progress)
Topic 1: Introduction To Bible Prophecy:
What Is Bible Prophecy?
Everyone wants to know what will happen in the future. However, finite human beings have no way of knowing what will occur beyond today. We do not have that capacity. However, there is a God in heaven who knows the end from the beginning. He knows exactly what will happen in the future. Indeed, He has actually told us about some events that will come to pass. These predictions are found in only one Book; the Bible.
Bible prophecy is a fascinating subject. Before we look at the particulars of what the Scripture has to say about the future, it is important that we examine some introductory matters. We need to know such things as what Bible prophecy consists of, who are the true prophets and who are the false prophets, and how we can tell the difference. With the continued interest that there is in this subject, it is crucial that we know exactly what the Bible does teach, and does not teach, with respect to future events. This section will look into these issues.
Course 19: Controversial Issues In Bible Prophecy:
Areas Where Believers Disagree (Course In Progress)
Topic 1: The Rapture Of The Church:
What Is It And When Will It Occur?
The Bible speaks of a future event in which living believers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Their bodies will be changed from mortal to immortal. The dead in Christ will also be raised and meet the Lord at this time. This is various known as the “rapture” or the “translation” of the church. The fact that the New Testament teaches such an event is clear. However, a number of questions arise as to who will be participants when this event occurs, and when it will actually happen.
Most Christians hold to the idea that everyone who is a believer in Jesus will be caught up to meet Him when this event occurs. However, there is a minority who think that only certain believers will be raptured while others will be left behind. For most Christians, this is not an issue. The Bible knows of no such thing as a partial rapture.
The big question that divides believers concerns the timing of the rapture. When will it happen? Will it be before a time of terrible trouble that will come upon the world; the Great Tribulation. Will it be sometime during this tribulation period? Or will it be at the end of this period? Bible-believers are divided on this issue with good people holding each of these views. Our desire is to give the best arguments that each side puts forward in an effort to understand why the various viewpoints are held. As is true with many other issues regarding the future, whatever position we ultimately hold should be held with grace and humility.
Topic 2: The Antichrist:
The Final Caesar
In the New Testament writings of John, he says that the spirit of antichrist was already in the world. He also says that antichrist is coming. These statements have been the basis for discussion among believers as to who, or what, John was talking about. Some see the term antichrist as representing all that is evil in the world. This evil attempts to oppose or replace Christ.
Others, however, identify antichrist with an actual person who has appeared already in history, or who will appear in the future. He is also known as the “man of sin,” or the “man of lawlessness.”
If there is such a person as the antichrist who will appear before the Second Coming of Christ, then how do we identify him? How will we know when he appears? Also, is there one antichrist or two? Will this coming antichrist be accepted as the Messiah by the Jewish people? Will he be a world ruler? What is the significance of the number 666 with respect to this antichrist?
Scripture also says that this antichrist will force all people to accept his mark on their forehead or upon their right hand. This is known as the mark of the beast.
This part of our course explores these and other related issues with respect to antichrist. We will see why some think antichrist refers to a spirit of evil rather than an actual person. We will also look at why others believe that the Bible is talking about an actual person who will become a world ruler.
While believers will disagree with each other on many aspects of the study of antichrist, we all can agree on the fact that the spirit of antichrist, or evil, is certainly with us today, and needs to be defeated by the power of God’s Holy Spirit. This is one of the lessons that we can learn from this study.
